Infant (4–11 months)

12-15h total · 2-4 naps

Toddler (1–2 years)

11-14h total · 1-2 naps

Preschool (3–5 years)

10-13h total · 0-1 naps

School-age (6–12 years)

How to read these numbers

These are population averages with wide individual variation. A child sleeping 30 minutes outside the band, who wakes refreshed and isn't drowsy during the day, doesn't need correction. Use the schedules as a starting point, then adjust based on your child's morning mood and daytime behavior.
